Elizabeth Taveras
Elizabeth is an accomplished business attorney in South Florida, where she focuses her practice on commercial litigation and business law. With wide-ranging experience in resolving disputes both in and out of the courtroom, she represents a diverse range of clients, including business owners, investors, and entrepreneurs, in commercial disputes, contract enforcement, and arbitration matters.
Elizabeth began her legal career in insurance law, where she successfully recovered millions of dollars for homeowners. This early success set the stage for her transition into business law, where she has since worked to help several small business owners navigate the complexities of litigation and legal disputes.
During law school, Elizabeth was actively involved in initiatives that support small businesses, including her work with the Small Business Clinic. She was also a student of the inaugural class of the Patent Law Clinic, where she contributed to drafting patents and supporting innovation.
She is admitted to practice law in Florida and in all three federal districts within Florida, allowing her to effectively represent clients in both state and federal courts.
Beyond her legal work, Elizabeth is an active member of the legal community. She was part of the inaugural class of the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (MDFAWL) Leadership Academy, where she expanded her leadership skills and interest advance the role of women in the legal profession.”
